The Internet is great for solving problems around the house except when its not! Usually because there is no “answer”. Sometimes, there literally is NO answer. Sometimes, there are answers but not the right ones for your situation.
Well, there’s one issue that’s been bugging me for a long time. A loose, wobbly gooseneck (goose neck?) on my American Standard kitchen faucet. When I say loose, it will go up and down, just like in this video. Notice, comments off and NO solution! After searching repeatedly on and off whenever I’d get annoyed using it, I finally decided to do more invasive work and actually remove the darn the faucet entirely and see if I could figure out what’s wrong.
The solution? You have to pull the goose neck up and away from the base so as to add tension, then turn the neck repeatedly clock wise around until it tightens. I’m not sure how long it will stay, as it still feels loose even after doing this. Keeping my fingers crossed it’ll stay for awhile. You could do this without removing the faucet and disconnecting the hoses, but you run the risk of the hose being twisted. So if you decide to try to do this without removing it from your counter and disconnecting, try to monitor the hose under your countertop while you turn the neck just in case.
Hope this helps someone searching for how to fix this annoying issue out on net.
